Pioneers of ambient house music, The Orb is largely the project of Alex Paterson, who’s worked with several different partners since the band’s debut in 1988, the acid house anthem Tripping On Sunshine.

Masters of the use of sampling, the band’s early trademark was to develop the style of ambient maestro Brian Eno by using the likes of nature recordings and space broadcasts over a backing of house beats, perfectly summed up with the iconic Little Fluffy Clouds single.

Recently the band’s music has shown more dub, minimal techno and hip hop influences. This special live show will feature Dr Alex Paterson and Professor Thomas Fehlmann complete with their visual accomplices.
