At 29, the soulful Exeter-born jazz singer/songwriter Lizzy Parks already has three critically acclaimed albums under her belt. Raise the Roof, her debut album for the Tru Thoughts label, was a euphoric introduction - with rich, dramatic orchestration from fellow Exonian Riaan Vosloo it embodies Lizzy`s fresh and modern twist on a singer-songwriter tradition, encompassing elements of various styles from retro jazz and boogie soul to ambient modern experimental music.

She went on to collaborate with the likes of Nostalgia 77, with whom her first piece, The Hope Suite, was nominated for Gilles Peterson's BBC Radio 1 Worldwide Awards Jazz Track of the Year.

This special performance for Vibraphonic sees Lizzy - currently based in France - perform a stunning collection of beautifully crafted, stripped back and re-imagined acoustic guitar and vocal versions of songs from her most recent 2009 album This and That, imbued with the characteristic playfulness, sense of romance, warmth yet lightness of touch that sets her apart as one of the UK`s most up and coming jazz singers.
