As a multi instrumentalist, in-demand producer and remixer, Adam Gibbons, AKA Lack Of Afro, has already established an unrivalled reputation as one of the most crucial names at work in funk and dance music today.

His first album Press On fulfilled his early promise, with Adam playing nearly all the instruments himself. Hailed by iDJ magazine as one of the greatest albums of the modern funk era, it went on to be one of Freestyle Records biggest selling albums.

The follow up My Groove, Your Move was released in October 2009, and dispels the difficult second album syndrome without even breaking a sweat. Featuring vocal contributions from Roxie Ray (Dojo Cuts) and YouTube prodigies Wax & Herbal T, My Groove, Your Move is an even more confident, assured and mature collection than its predecessor. In addition to his original material, Lack Of Afro has remixed over thirty releases including tracks from acts as diverse as Tom Jones, Kraak & Smaak, and Nicole Willis.

The new 5 piece live band includes Roxie Ray on vocals, Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene/Paul Weller) on bass, Nick Radford on guitar, George Cooper on keys, and Mr. Lack Of Afro himself Adam Gibbons on drums. They will be touring across the UK and Europe through March.
